Something I've been working on

I put together this custom packaging for my sister's photography. I love the way they turned out! It was so much work! But, I was a little chocked up when I saw how well they turned out! Too bad Brooke wasn't here to take the picture of the finished product since my photography skills seem to be getting worse than better!

Balloons for Nie

I have been reading the Nie Nie Dialogues for a little while and was instantly in love with it. Reading all about this lovely woman and her beautiful family. She is such a good example of a good mother. I cannot wait for her to be back to her life and telling us all about it. Until then her and her husband need help! On Saturday my small family participated in a large balloon launch to support Stephanie and Christian Nielson after they were in a serious plane crash last weekend. Read more about their story here. The balloon launch is the Nielson's family tradition and my family is going to have it as our new family tradition as well. Each birthday and some special occasions will be spent writing balloon wishes and sending them off into the sky.

{wedding shower present}

This is what I put together for a wedding shower gift this past weekend. I had so much fun putting it together. I prefer to hold off on the registry until the actual reception so this time I decided to get crafty.

I made the W sign out of paper and a canvas board. I know I love having anything with my last initial around! I also gave her a stand for it. I gave her 10 thumbtacks and 5 magnets and they really are my favorite thing ever!!!! She really liked them too. I found an awesome bulletin board at Target that had a chunky black frame around it. And threw that in. I wrapped it in some kraft paper with some bakers twine and a homemade tag! It was so much fun. I hope she enjoys them and gets a lot of use out of everything.

{super fun}

I put these bad boys together for a bridal shower this weekend.

The cuter than average thumbtacks are getting even cuter! I am so excited about how they came out. I LOVE them. They will soon be making an appearance in my shop! I'll post more pictures of this shower present after I finish them. I put a bunch of projects together and I hope she likes them!

{beautiful dolls}

I came across Ravenhill a few weeks ago when she purchased some bakers twine from me. She makes the most beautiful dolls and this one of the mother carrying her baby is for sure on Leila's Christmas list. I LOVE it! She describes her dolls as "Hand crafted with love in my home often with one of my children on my lap or by my side." And of course I love that! She has a wonderful blog that inspires me to build mine up faster! Check out all of her beauties!

New Fave!

I discovered the new ipod shuffle last night at a friend's house. And I think it is the best thing EVER! Who needs an ipod with a movie screen when this bad boy clips onto anything and can play 250 songs! That's a lot of songs people! I love how simple and functional it is. Definitely on my to get list. Check them out!

{rearranged}

Those of you who know me, know that I rearrange my furniture more than anyone ever should! I just did my bedroom {which by the way is perfect and gave me the ultimate craft space that a two bedroom apartment with four people inside could ever hope for!}. And yesterday I rearranged my living room. By myself I might add, including the armoire with the heavy TV inside. Any way...it's nice but feels a little empty some how. I think it needs $25 from a thrift store and a quart of paint to finish up some new accents! If I can get to a thrift store next week I've got a new project on my hands.....Keenan will be so happy!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

{yay for me}

I just bought this with some Etsy earnings and hopefully it will help me to become an amazing homemaker! We'll see how it goes but, I'm very excited for it's arrival and that I was able to get it for practically free! I earned it baby!

{bakers twine}

My Etsy shop has officially been open for one week today and I've had 4 sales so far. All bakers twine and 3 out of 4 from Europe! But, everyone I know is asking "What in the world do I do with that string stuff?" So I thought I'd do a little post about it.
It's just a simple string that they use to wrap up your bakery boxes. {how many of us go to a bakery...I used to in Idaho} But, it has so many uses. Think of a simple white box wrapped up with the red +white bakers twine, so cute. It's perfect for gift wrapping, to tie on tags, scrapbooking and card making. The possibilities are endless.
There's the answer to all those burning questions! Maybe I'll have to make some mock ups for you another day!

{dream room}

Keenan may not always agree but, I love design with a bit of a funky flair. This room from HGTV's Design on a Dime is my FAVORITE! I'd design a room inspired by this one any day!

It's website is a great resource, especially if you live in the Los Angeles area. It gives you all the resources from each show, with great places to shop in the area. Plus, Kristan Cunningham is my hero! Check it out!

The BIG news!

Well, hopefully I am not disappointing too many of you with my announcement! Sorry no new babies are on the way. We are not moving. And we didn't win the lottery! I am just starting my own catch all design blog! I want this to be a fun place for me to show off things that I do and my favorite things that other people do! It will be a little bit of everything! I hope you enjoy the process along with me. And that you can bear with me learning as I go and trying to learn how to take better pictures!
Today I am also launching my Etsy account. So feel free to check it out. This is something that will grow along with me and my blog! But, humble beginnings could be the start of something beautiful!
So....let's get our creative juices flowing!
